Overview

The U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) granted awards for the second STRI Omnibus Contract, known as STOC II, Jan. 27, 2009. STOC II, valued at $17.5 billion over 10 years, serves as an efficient contracting vehicle in order to quickly get simulation and training products and services into the hands of US and coalition service members. “The overall purpose of STOC II is to have highly-qualified contractors on-hand to rapidly satisfy the needs of our nation’s Warfighters,” explained Brian Murphy, the PEO STRI contracting officer responsible for STOC II.

Scope

The STOC II contract goals and objectives are to acquire the capability to perform product and service support related Front-End Analysis (FEA), Design, Development, Fielding and Sustainment functions in support of military training/testing instrumentation, systems, simulations and simulators. A PEO STRI goal is to migrate to training and testing composable environments that are created from common components and interoperable systems. Some of the broad areas that S3 can support under the five functional areas include Engineering, Testing, Program Management, System Security, Mission Readiness Support, Transition to Life Cycle Contractor Support (LCCS), Deployment, Horizontal Integration, and Information Assurance (IA).
