/KBFS Helps Restore Church Steeple in Tulsa, OK

A still fropm Tulsa SkyNews 6 footage shows the MD530F helicopter preparing to lift the steeple.

On September 11, 2019, KBFS assisted Tulsa, Oklahoma area contractors in installing a new steeple on a church roof. The Central Church of the Nazarene, on 81st Street in Tulsa, lost its steeple, installed in 1981, to storm damage back in May. Project coordinators had been planning for the day a new steeple could be lifted into place and community members watched as KBFS’s MD530F Light Utility Helicopter did the lifting. Tulsa’s Channel 6 covered the event.
