Kachemak Bay Flying Service (KBFS), is offering a wide range of rotary wing civilian pilot training at its Temple, TX Flight Training Academy. In addition to providing candidates the opportunity to pursue a half dozen fixed wing qualifications, the Academy is now routinely providing Part 61 and/or Part 141 pilot training in the MD-530F, UH-H Huey, and Robinson R44 helicopters. September 30, 2021: S3 was selected by the United States Army to mentor three Huntsville based Small Businesses under the Department of Defense (DoD) Mentor-Protégé Program. Each two-year Mentor Protégé Agreement (MPA) provides the Protégés tailored developmental and technical assistance to enhance their respective capabilities and facilitate growth as a Small Business Prime Contractors. The DoD’s Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP) is the oldest continuously operating federal mentor-protégé program in existence. S3 is honored to receive these awards as they also represent the third, fourth, and fifth protégés that we have supported during the past five years. Established during the First Gulf War, the MPP helps eligible small businesses expand their defense industrial base footprint by partnering them with larger companies to provide unique capabilities and enhance the DoD supply chain. MPAs provide a win-win situation which results in successful small businesses, large/small business partnerships, and outstanding, cost-effective support for the Warfighter.
