    Custom Application Software:

    Integrated Decision Support Environment (IDSE)
IDSE is a modeling and simulation technology developed by System Studies & Simulation, Inc., in Huntsville, Alabama. The technology is used to produce custom applications based on customer needs and requirements.

Custom applications developed using IDSE have enabled decision makers to empirically calculate the effects of change in a system. Thus IDSE technology has proven to be a useful tool for system engineering and programmatic functions, such as risk management and mitigation programs, earned value management (EVM), production, logistics, and overall program control.

IDSE technology integrates modeling and simulation methods, enabling decision makers to perform "what if" analysis as well as alternative and production analysis on systems. IDSE Custom Applications provide decision support and information management capabilities tailored to meet the special needs and answer the specific questions posed by commercial and government decision makers. It has helped decision makers measure and assess the impact of change on a program and produce invaluable output to make the right program decisions.

The IDSE Custom Application created for the U.S. Army's Tactical Missiles Office and the Precision Fires Office for the ATACMS Block II system supports the DOD 5000 acquisition model. The IDSE Application addressed production, assembly, and integration processes and provided valuable support for the U.S. Army SMART program. The IDSE Custom Application won the U.S. Army’s 2002 Simulation and Modeling for Acquisition, Requirements and Training (SMART) Award, presented at the annual SMART Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, April 2002.
