S3 News:
Army Aviation Materiel Readiness Award for Contribution by a Small Business 2007:
Feb 18 2008 / On February 14th, S3 was awarded the “Army Aviation Materiel
Readiness Award for Contribution by a Small Business” for the
company’s efforts in support of the U.S. Army in 2007. The citation
below was read at AAAA’s 34th Annual Aviation Product Symposium held
in Huntsville, AL.
“S3, Inc. made significant contributions to the materiel and
operational readiness of Army Aviation in 2007. From its worldwide
activities fielding the Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) to
providing hand-on-training to Army pilots enabling them to become
Maintenance Test Pilots, to saving soldiers’ lives, limbs and
eyesight through its MEDEVAC operations, S3 has helped the U.S. Army
and Army Aviation sustain and improve its materiel and operational
readiness. S3’s many activities throughout CONUS, Germany, Iraq and
Afghanistan set the standard for what a highly motivated, small,
agile, well-led company can do in support of our Nation’s defense. A
few examples of S3’s many contributions include conducting
maintenance test flights of Army aircraft in Iraq as well as training
soldiers in Afghanistan on how to move aircraft by strategic air.
S3, with its strong corporate commitment to our nation’s defense and
its three-hundred and fifty dedicated professionals, made significant
contributions to Army Aviation’s materiel readiness well beyond all
proportion to the size of the company. Few companies, large or
small, have contributed so much to the material readiness of Army
Aviation over such a wide range of endeavors as S3. They are truly
deserving of the 2007 AAAA Army Aviation Material Readiness Award for
Contribution by a Small Business.”
During Jan’s acceptance remarks, she credited the award to the
efforts of the entire S3 aviation team, as well as S3 employees
working in support of the CMWS and JAMS offices. She said S3
employees do great work because they know it makes a positive
difference for our soldiers who are fighting around the world on our
behalf.
